Near-IR speckle imaging of massive young stellar objects We present near-IR speckle images of 21 massive Young Stellar Objects(YSOs) associated with outflows. The aim of this study is to search forsub-arcsecond reflection nebulae associated with the outflow cavity. Wefind that 6 of the massive YSOs show a conical nebula which can beinterpreted in terms of reflected light from the dusty walls of theoutflow cavity. In all cases, the small scale structures seen in ourimages are compared with outflow indicators found in the literature. Noclear correlation is found between the presence of the reflectionnebulosity and any property such as degree of embeddedness. We also notethat 3 of the sources show close companions, one of them belonging alsoto the sample with conical nebula.Figures \ref{S140SpeckleFig}, \ref{S255SpeckleFig},\ref{Ha101Fig}-\ref{HGL490Fig} and\ref{GL2591SpeckleFig}-\ref{GL5180peckleFig} are only available inelectronic form at http://www.edpsciences.org
| Radio Emission from Young Stellar Objects near LkHα 101 We present results of a VLA 3.6 cm B-configuration study of a regionaround the Herbig Be star LkHα 101. We detect 16 sources down to 5sigma (rms) thresholds of 0.25 mJy. Most of the sources are thought tobe young stellar objects associated with the star formation region. Sixof the objects have optical counterparts, and at least two areweak-lined T Tauri stars. A large number exhibit high-amplitudevariability, indicating that gyrosynchrotron emission from flares justabove the photosphere is a primary cause of the emission. We discuss thedistance to the star formation region as implied by the radio fluxdensities and Hipparcos data. We present evidence that the region may belocated at a distance typical of the Taurus-Auriga star formationcomplex, not at the 800 pc suggested by previous studies.
