UBV beta Database for Case-Hamburg Northern and Southern Luminous Stars
A database of photoelectric UBV beta photometry for stars listed in theCase-Hamburg northern and southern Milky Way luminous stars surveys hasbeen compiled from the original research literature. Consisting of over16,000 observations of some 7300 stars from over 500 sources, thisdatabase constitutes the most complete compilation of such photometryavailable for intrinsically luminous stars around the Galactic plane.Over 5000 stars listed in the Case-Hamburg surveys still lackfundamental photometric data.

A flux-limited sample of Galactic carbon stars
Published observational data (including IRAS observations) for aflux-limited sample of 215 Galactic carbon stars (CSs) selected from the2-micron sky survey of Neugebauer and Leighton (1969) are compiled inextensive tables and graphs and analyzed statistically. The sample isfound to penetrate a volume of radius 1.5 kpc, and the local CS spacedensity and surface density are calculated as log rho0 (per cu kpc) =2.0 + or - 0.4 and log N (per sq kpc) = 1.6 + or - 0.2, respectively. The total Galactic mass-return rate from these CSs is estimated as 0.013solar mass/yr, implying a time scale of 0.1-1 Myr for the CSevolutionary phase and a mass of 1.2-1.6 solar mass for the (probablyF-type) main-seqence progenitors of CSs.

The distribution of early-type stars and dust around L = 114 deg
Photoelectric H-beta photometry is presented for about 125 early-typestars in a 12-sq deg area centered at l = 114 deg, b = 1.5 deg. Moststars were previously measured in UBV. The study of the color excessesof the stars shows that a dust cloud covers part of the area. This cloudis situated about 1.5 kpc from the sun. Except for that cloud the onlycolor excess found in the area originates within 1 kpc from the sun. Thefrequency maximum of OB stars is found between a distance of 2 and 4kpc, which is the intersection with the Perseus arm.

A Comparison between the Two-Micron Sky Survey and the Celescope Catalogue of Ultraviolet Stellar Observations
A comparison has been made between the Ultraviolet Celescope Catalogue(OAO2 satellite) and the The Two-Micron Sky Survey. Forty-seven objectsare in common between the two catalogues, including several binarysystems. Most of them show intrinsic IR excess, while the UV deficiencynot always may be justified with the interstellar absorption. Two of theobjects seem to be very interesting and are suggested for observationsat wavelengths longer than 2.2 μm.
